Hilton Head Island has some of the greatest gourmet Italian restaurants in the country.  There are quite a few Italian restaurants here that would be considered fine dining as well as your regular mom and pop Italian cuisine.  You can’t go wrong when choosing and Italian restaurant here in paradise, they are all good depending on what type of atmosphere you’re looking for.

In the finer Italian restaurants you will find such cuisine as a grilled veal chop stuffed with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers served with vegetable orzo pasta and a Marsala reduction as well as old standards such as lasagna and veal piccata.

If you don’t feeling like getting all dressed up, there are plenty of mom-and-pop Italian restaurants to enjoy after a long day at the beach.  You will find them scattered throughout the Island, in areas such as Pineland Station and Port Royal Plaza.  They offer everything from pizza to pasta.
